Is it possible to give acess to particular user in management consol for task creation for his documents only, and he cannot see or run any other developer's task. Please tell the steps to achieve this

Is it possible to give access rights to particular user in management console for creating task for his documents only, and he cannot see or run any other developer's task. Please tell the steps to achieve this

Hi Neha,

Yes, this can be done. You would need to make him a Document Administrator and that will allow him to do that. There are several steps to do this and you would have to check the manual and help files to figure it out. Check the distribution service general tab. You will need to add an location here for the users files and add them to the folder as Document Administrator.

Then in the Server setup you have to add them to the root folder or a mounted folder.

I don't see how it can be possible.  User ether has access to QMC or don't.

user has only development environment access. But he wants to test his document run through QMC. Currently he is not having rights to access QMC. So is there a way or any right level through we can restrict him the usage of QMC for his task only

Yes you can.

We use different document folders and different domaingroups for different document administrators out of different departments.

Each document administrator only can see in the QMC the documents and tasks belonging to his department.
