Hi Forrest,

After uploading the above files and changing the web.config file, we are getting the below error while opening the 'Authentication' feature in IIS.

filename:\\?\C:inetpub\wwwroot\Ticket\web.config

Line number : 41

Error: Configuration section not allowed to be set below application

Do you know whats wrong with the config setting?

Thanks - Senthil

Please ignore the previous error, I am not getting this error after changing "ticket" as application in IIS.

But the issue is we are not getting the ticket after clicking on "ticket: button. What would have gone wrong? Is there a way to debugg?

Thanks - Senthil.

Senthil,

Did you modify the htm page to match your environment?  Also do you have application pools setup for this?

Hi Forrest,

Yes we've modified it to match our environment.

Do we need service account credentials or any Qlikview Admin credentials are enough?

Thanks & Regards,

Saravana,

Under our website we created a ticket application directory and pointed it to our ticket folder.  We use the same app pool that is used for our QVAjaxZfc application directory.  The ticket directory is under our QlikView/Web/ directory.  Your web.config looks good.  I see in your htm file that you are using the plugin?  We use the Ajax client for our piece so it points to the QvAjaxZfc folder like this.

window.open("/QvAJAXZfc/opendoc.htm?document=Your document.qvw&ticket="

the plugin directory seems to have the opendoc.htm so no clue why that would not be working.  I would really need to see or understand how your IIS is laid out.

Hi,

I am not a pro at this stuff, but here is the URLs I use for testing.

To get a ticket

http://qv10/QvAjaxZfc/GetTicket.aspx?cmd=<Global method="GetTicket"><UserId>qv10\User5</UserId></Global>

After I have a ticket I put it in this and send it.

http://qv10/QvAJAXZfc/Authenticate.aspx?type=html&webticket=44A61327A0FEDE2328C7BFC4613DA1C4B76E5F1B...

This works for me. So I would think you would have to do the same.

Hi,

I just tried the link and using SSL. I was thinking that SSL might be the issue, but I don't have an issue with getting a ticket.
