What about RAM-CPU usage when you receive the no server message?
As the issue relates to DSC, the connectivity to your authentication provider (AD LDAP etc) you may find that the service times out, if the service account cannot be authenticated, or the SSO is very large and you cannot resolve a query in suitable time.
