Not able to lease license

Hi,

I have a Virtual machine where qlikview server and qlikview desktop is installed. Since Qlikview desktop is a personal edition, i wanted to lease the license which is been added in qlikview server(which is in same machine). When even i try to lease license using the open in server option the license is not applied. Plese help us.

What is the error that you are getting..

check in QMC>System>licenses>click on server>CAL's>check the option for lease license.

There is no error, every thing works fine but license is not getting updated.

In Server, check option for leased license is enabled

Do you connect via qvp to the server?

If yes, try alternate identity and specify the domain as well :

domain\userid

You are not using a Test Server licence right?

Because if you are using this kind of server licence the leasing will not work.

this is usually very straight forward. Have you assigned a license (named cal) to the user?

Also make sure that you did assign a Named CAL to your user. Document CALs can only be used in the AccessPoint and cannot be leased.

If you perform File->Open in Server, can you open the AccessPoint document in your QV Desktop? That may mean that you did too many attempts with the same license on different machines...

Agree with Herbert. Check the LEF for the server license. If you see "test" or "license lease no" then you will not be able to lease a license from this server.
