You can go in QMC, select the task for which you need the QDS ID in Tasks, go on the right side 'Show Task Details',
select Log, and around the 4th row you will see something like:

How are you using EDX? Using QMSEDX.exe?
Using this tool (Using EDX in QlikView 11) you can pass the name (and relative path) of your QVW and a password

Thanks Clever.
It's a coworker asking for help so I'm really am not sure but I believe maybe?
He's read:
The QDS ID is required in the function call that starts the EDX batch job.
So we're hunting to find this QDS ID and so far it exists with the unicorns and fairies; which we need to find hard evidence of it.
Any ideas is greatly appreciated.

Jayson, are you using the API or QMSEDX.exe?
Thanks Ionut.
Yes I created an empty bat file just for something to use. Created an external program task (System->Supporting Tasks).
Command line to the shared location and file name.
manually ran the task then view the task details and *poof* right where Ionut called it.
Just info for others to look up in the future since this isn't quite aparent where to find it.
Kudos Ionut.
