QMC incredibly slow.. WHY?

Hi All,

Could anybody list possible reasons why QMC can be very slow. It all works, but it can take between 5-10 minutes to respond to any of the clicks that I make (e.g. like switching between tabs, expanding folders etc). It's becoming quite frustrating!

Many thanks!

Neal

You need talk to your IT department if you use Cross Domain.

That's correct.

Since you upgraded the upgrade will never touch the config files. Therefore new settings we add needs to be added manually. Just paste in the lines:

<!-- Set to true if the Cross Domains are used. Else set to false for increased performance -->

    <add key="DocumentFolderAdminUseXDomain" value="false" />

General recommendation is to restart the service after the change.

Hi Magnus,

your hint puts our QMC on "highspeed"!

Still waiting for some users reply, we'll see it within the next 24hours....

Thanks a lot!

Hi Magnus. magnuslovsten

We are experiencing this also from time to time. We use certificates as means of communication.

Will this make any difference for us?

<!-- Set to true if the Cross Domains are used. Else set to false for increased performance -->

    <add key="DocumentFolderAdminUseXDomain" value="false" />

Multiple domain environment with no trusts, hence certificates.

Tried it, no change at all.

Still slow, can take up to one minute to respond. Not always though.

Hi Magnus,

now same issue after Upgrading from SR12 to SR13. Settings are still the same, maybe another hidden Feature? 😉

<!-- Set to true if the Cross Domains are used. Else set to false for increased performance -->

    <add key="DocumentFolderAdminUseXDomain" value="false" />

Any idea?

THX in advance!

Dirk

Hi Dirk

There are very few changes in this area between SR12 and SR13 and the changes should not have any impact to this scenario.

Sorry

Magnus
