Hello All,
I am planning to upgrade the QV server from 11.2 SR2 to SR10 version soon and I am just wondering if I need to handle PGO files backup/restore during this upgrade. QV Release / Installation Notes are not listing this step as a required one during the upgrade, but I just would like to hear the forum's opinion about PGO files compatibility between these versions. Or any other issues related to PGO files and CALs transfer during the upgrades.
I would appreciate any comments/suggestions....
Regards,
Vladimir
Hi Vladimir,
Although there shouldn't be any problem just upgrading the software unless otherwise documented, and I'm not aware of any changes to the format of these files that could lead to any issues after the upgrade, having a backup copy of all master files for QlikView (Shared, Meta, Ini, Pgo, QVW, QVD, etc.) is always a good idea and a good practice, not only in case of software upgrade.

Thank you, Miguel!
The main QV files backup was already in place, and I've extended it to include PGO and INI files as well.
Thank you for suggestion.

Glad it helped!
Note that to be able to copy all those files, services must be stopped.
