hello currently we have a windows server machine that is 2008 R2
with publisher enabled
we want t keep this machine as a publisher machine and move the QVS and QVWS to another machine which is a win server 2012
is there a problem here knowing that windows 2012 needs other setup for QlikView which is specific to windows server 2012 than the one for windows server 2008 R2
please advise
No.
Although you need to use a different installer on Win2012, the software behaves the same. Keep in mind that QlikView services use well-defined protocols to talk to each other. They do not depend on a particular version of the OS.
But as with all enterprise roll-outs: test before making changes to production.

Hi,
As it will be different installer.
There could be some mismatch occur.
Unless you go for same versions.

so 11.2 SR12 for both know installers should work no?
Hi,
Should work, But I would say give it a try in QA/ Test Environment.
Before you roll out this to production.
