Hello everyone,
I would like using Qlikview on my new Mac book M1 with Windows ARM and Parallels Desktop 17.
Before buying Parallels Desktop 17, I would like to check if this configuration is working properly ?
By advance many thanks for your feedback.
Regards.
Franck
#QLIKVIEW DESKTOP
Hi @FranckBiol,
You'll need to run some type of Windows virtual machine to use QlikView on a Mac. I'm fairly certain that Parallels is a viable choice for this. Your question has been posed on Community before.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards
Hi @osasa541,
I confirm that Qlikview Desktop runs perfectly well on a Mac M1 using Parallels Desktop 17 and Windows 11 ARM.
Successfully tested on a 14'' Macbook Pro with 32 GB of RAM.
Best regards,
Stephane

Hi Stephane,
What version of Qlikview Desktop did you use on your Mac Book M1 and where did you find it?
The one I got is running only on x64 hardware and installation fails.
Best,
Gauthier
Hi Gauthier,
The version I use is 12.60.20200.0 - QlikView May 2021 SR2
It used to be on the Qlik download page, but it seems not to be available anymore without a license.
Best,
Stéphane
Hi Stephane,
Thank you for your reply.
Based on your message I found the version you pointed out on QV download website.
Though still tagged x64, it is working great on my Mac Book M1 via a UTM VM.
Great thanks !
Gauthier
