Hi Folks,
quick question, does a user leasing a licence from the server (all corrected setup) require any particular access rights on their PC?
e.g ADMINISTRATOR
Thanks in advance
Andy
No, not that I know.
Peter
Interesting, just got this back from Qlik Support:
Yes, users need to have admin rights on their PCs. That is required for them to be able to access the registry in write mode. So, that needs to be fixed.
Hope this helps.
Well, I never had to advise on local administrator rights. Probably because most enterprise QlikView developers already have those rights (and can install/upgrade QV Desktop on their own) and in most SMBs laptop users get those rights by default because otherwise they cannot configure their wireless network at home or some other frustrating limitation.
So I didn't know . Thanks for bringing this up. Learned a thing that will be very useful when you least expect it.
Best,
Peter
