Hi Team,
Currently we are using Qlikview 12.20 version ,now we are planning to upgrade it to 12.70 (May 2022) version.
Can we go for an upgrade directly from 12.20 to 12.70 ? Please suggest me if any issues in this approach.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Jay587,
As I'm sure you're aware, NPrinting 2019 is no longer supported so the compatibility with QlikView May 2022 is not supported as well. You'll need to upgrade NPrinting to version May 2022 as soon as possible in order to be in compliance. Note that NPrinting 2019 may function normally with QlikView May 2022 or it may not. The system requirements for all Qlik Products are available in the Qlik online Help.

Hi @Chip_Matejowsky @Maria_Halley ,
We have upgraded Qlikview to may 2022 version but post upgrade Qmc is not opening with https and access point is opening with https somehow.
Earlier both the links are working with HTTPS but after upgrading to may 2022 ,links are not working with https.
Some one from my team long back ,converted to use the links from http to https but I don't know how to do it.
Please help me on this,it's urgent.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Jay587,
The settings in the QVManagementService.exe.config likely were overwritten when you performed the upgrade. If you have a backup of %ProgramFiles%\QlikView\ you can check the .config file in the Management Sevice directory for the previous configuration.
If you don’t have a backup, refer to article How to configure the QlikView Management Console (QMC) to use HTTPS.

Hi @Chip_Matejowsky ,
Yes in backup file it's like <add key="UseHTTPS" value="True" /> but the current config file is <add key="UseHTTPS" value="false" /> .
When I try to change the condition the access is denied ,seems don't have permission to edit the config file.
I referred the article as well ,seems everything is is in place ,when I binding the certificate also it's showing SSL already created.
Not sure what's going wrong with only qmc.
Thanks.
Hi @Jay587,
I’m glad to learn there is a backup. Try running Notepad (or another text editing application such as Notepad++) as an administrator by right-clicking the Notepad icon and selecting Run as Administrator. If you don’t have permissions to do so, contact your internal server team and have them make the change on the file.

Thank you so much for your extensive support @Chip_Matejowsky .It worked for me.
Qlikview Upgrade successfully completed but still validating in development.
And also please help me with below points.
1.In the QMC, under System > Setup > Qlikview Servers > when I click on server name
I'm only seeing the tabs 'Login' and 'General', whereas on the old setup I see Folders, Documents, Performance, Logging, Security, Alerts, Login.
why the other tabs are not appearing ?
2.Dashboards in access point are opening slowly ,it's taking more time than usual. Please let me know if any checks needed for this.
Many thanks .
Hi @Jay587
It is suggested to create a different post for the new issues,
If you don't see all the tabs you likely lost the license, could you reapply the license ? Since the Settings.ini was likely overwritten if you have a backup before the upgrade it would be great to look at it to see what Settings are available there, there are many parameters that can impact performance like the DisableNewRowApplicator so the best option would be to compare those files and then after everything looks as it was before the upgrade probably look into the remaining issues.
