Adding List Box as Filter

Hi all,

my data for example

Month       backlog      Current

July             50               100

August        100                70

and I created a list box for month

Month

July

August

I want the output to be

Month      backlog+current  Current

July               150                   100    

when I select the july month in list box

Dear,

Use Month as Dimension.

Expression1:    =sum(backlog)+Sum(Current)

Expression 2:   Sum(Current)

backlog and current are based on date filed for understanding I gave that example but my data doesn't have any backlog or current field. I will below give an apt example

ID        DATE_SUBMIT        DATE_RESOLVED

a            25/06/2017                     10/07/2017

b            28/06/2017                      11/07/2017

c             10/07/2017                      10/07/2017

d              15/07/2017                      20/07/2017

when I select filter as july I want the output as

Month      Backlog+Current      Current

July                  4                         2

Hi,

You mean how many ID's Submitted and Id's Resolved in each Month,

what if any ID Submitted in June and Resolved in August do you want to count that ID when you select July or Not?

ID        DATE_SUBMIT        DATE_RESOLVED

i want to calculate how many ids I resolved in the month and how many of ids of that particular month got resolved in that month only
