Adding a separator line (vertical) in Straight Table

Guys,

I am trying to partition my straight table into two by a bold (2pt) line. is there a way to increase size of particular column's right border? Right now I have placed a line object on table to show the separation but when data is filtered the table is reduced (in height) but of course the line doesn't. Please see attached image to see what exactly I need.

regards,

S

A bit of a frig, but what I have done on occasion is create a dummy expression of ' ' with a single space as it's label in the straight table and then make it as small as one can.  You cannot make it really small but it can suffice.

Thanks for prompt response. I tried doing same but changing background colour of header for this very cell wasn't working so it couldn't work as separator, unfortunate

Did you ever get a solution to this?

The only way I've found that does anything like this, is to convert to a pivot table, then do 'custom format cell', and change the 'border after cell' colour, however this doesn't apply it to the header.

You may create a dummy expression with a value of chr(9474) which is unicode character for vertical line.

For label, if it is 3 line high, you may use chr(9474)&chr(10)&chr(9474)&chr(10)&chr(9474)

You may adjust the expression for the label depending on the lines in the header as needed.

If you use space (' ') as your dummy expression, you may play with background color.

Hope this helps.
