Alarm triggers to people (e-mail), is it possible?

Hey guys, Is it possible to have like some sort of trigger that every time that something happens (i.e. someone rates my service badly), an e-mail comes to me, so I'll be notified without me having to open the program everyday?

In QlikView 11 you can set up alerts on a document, so if a particular condition is met you will be emailed.

In the tools menu, there's 'Alerts' and the 'Alerts Wizard' which may be able to help you

If you get Marcus's suggestion to work without 'having to open the program everyday' then I'd love to know as that could be of use to us.

Bill, thank you. Do you use it? I think this is amazing, I am sick of doing repetitive powerpoints, that's basically copy and paste from Qlikview.

I am going to present this solution to my director. Still, I would like to ask if there's some other way of doing it.

Thank you.

Bill, but if you schedule a reload every day by the server, shouldn't that work out too?

Yes that should work just fine.

Give it a go and see how you get on.

Yup, we use NPrinting here & I would highly recommend it.

There are various UK resellers, here is a link to one of them:

Bill, there is one option on Alert Wizard that tests the alert on the reload, so, this might work... I am here configuring right now, and I'll test it right away.

Hi, Julio.

Just to add to Bill's earlier comment. If your are looking to buy NPrinting, it is around £7k for the full Enterprise edition which compares favourably to the £21k for Publisher.

You can get a free 35 day trial licence for the Enterprise edition from QuickIntelligence so that you could demo this to your director.

Regards,

Neil
