Chapter 8 - Dealing with dimensions without facts
4. Now, navigate to the Fields tab and, from the Available Fields list on the
left, highlight the Year field as well as the Aircraft Type field, and click on
the Add > button. Then, click on OK and two new list boxes will be created.
I don't see any field called Aircraft Type. I only see %Aircraft Type ID
Year is present though. I think it should be Aircraft Name instead of
Aircraft Type. I came to know after I looked at the solution for that
chapter.
This is one of the reasons for my recent idea -

Same typo in step 10.
Now, right-click on the Aircraft Type listbox and click on Select Excluded
from the pop-up menu. This will switch our selection to those aircrafts that
have not logged flights.

Hi John,
You are right. I have worked on this exercise some time back and found this typo.
Ah, John.
I, too, found this problem and thought it was me. I am relieved that this is a known issue.
Thanks for pointing this out.

Yes, that is an error, the correct field is Aircraft Name. This error (and unfortunately, a few others) can be found on the errata page for the book: QlikView 11 for Developers | Packt Publishing (under Support)
Publisher should pick these errors up or at least let us post them easily on their website without making an account. Moderate it and post it if it is indeed an error. I ran into the error again on my second reading of the book
Btw Barry, If you don't mind can you please up vote one of my ideas related to this post ?

Hi Barry ,
But I am not able to see any fields with % as a prefix in the available fields list. It is present in the Table viewer.
