I was going through an article that compares Qlikview & Business Objects, which I have attached below. So Business Objects can provide real time analysis but Qlikview can not? I am new to qlikview and I am trying to figure things out. So if you have a QVD layer from where you are loading your statements, it definitely can not provide real time analysis. But I have heard Direct discovery will cure that. Can someone explain how is BO able and QV is not or is (before or after Direct discovery)..?
Please have a look.
but if you don't want to go down that route and can allow a small delay please explore EDX tasks. Whenever the underlying data changes you can trigger a EDX task (that is already defined in the QMC) to refresh the QVDs and then the application QVW, this still keeps your original model in tact without the hassles of a DIRECT discovery and still achieves what you want albeit a very short delay.
Hey,
Below thread has good documentation with examples using Data Direct Discovery .
It will be helpful.

Hi,
If you need to do Real time data analysis then you have to go for DIRECT DISCOVERY concept in Qlikview. Please refer attached file.
If you want the sample script then check below link
