Can't change qvw document in qlik server (open in HTML App)

Hello coleauges!

I have next issue with qvw document in qlik server (yesterday all was fine.):

1. Can't reload it in with QMC task.

2. Can't delete or rename

3. Can reload in manual, but can't save.

I have restarted Web Service - same situation

I checked Sessions - document isn't open (not from web, not from remote PC)

Where can be problem?

There are also more "specialist" hacks to overcome a problem like this. For example, you could:

  • Download ProcessExplorer from www.sysinternals.com. Don't worry about this tool, it's made by one of the Windows geniuses (currently at Microsoft) and absolutely reliable, if you download from the source.
  • Install ProcessExplorer on your server and start it as Administrator. A TaskManager-like view of all active processes will appear.
  • Select Find->Find Handle or DLL.. from the menu, then enter the name of your QVW document in the search string field and click "Search".
  • If there is a single process that keeps your document open for whatever reason, it will be listed in the search results window. The PID (Process ID) value allows you to kill the process in the main ProcessExplorer view.

Best,

Peter

Some process is accessing this file or at least the OS treated the file as in use - usually the easiest way to get rid of it is to restart the whole server.

Thank you. But, Unfortunately I can't restore full server now in work day.

Often the only way over this is a reboot of the server
