Hi All,
I am currently working in testing.
Please can anyone give details about career scope of QlikView and also about job opportunities in Indian Market.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Market is good there organisation are struggling lack of developers i observed in mumbai, hyderabad and banglore. But according to mysuggestion you should be know about atleast C language and some some database knowledge ex sql,oracle,DB2 etc.atleast u should know about joins and DML and DQL.
Coming to market.Qlikview has better visulation and chepaer in cost compared with others and resolves so many problems with compared with compitetors.
so Qlik view is better option to choose but need some what atleast basci c and db skils needed in my view as becasu u are tester.
Thank you very much Mahesh
Hi Mahesh,
could you pls explain, why knowledge of C is neccessary. I would say in the future the focus is more jscript. Basic knowledge of Databases / SQL is helpful.
Regards,
Peter
Hi Chandu, i will tell you good BI tools in current market wise and all are similar tools
1. QlikView is good market now a days, it has scripting and good established
2. Tableau is good tool and less scripting, good compitator to Qlikview and current market wise in india
not that much good (Qlikview)
3. TIBCO Spotfire (like Tableau)
Regards
Nihhal.
why i am saying C because qlikview scripting contains for if and while
etc.using some logical operators.in my view with out c language also can
learn.but in my view c gives much confidence in wrting neededif and to
observe how the flow in writing functions etc.
i observed from my friends.who dont know C are struggling when it coming to
Set analysis these things .
when comimg to variable declaration these thngs very much helpful .C makes
u confidence towards scripting.
regards
Hi,
All open positions working for QlikTech in India can be found at http://www.qlik.com/us/company/careers/current-openings?dept=®ion=india
Good luck!
Hi Chandu,
Not sure if you have already made your decision. My 2 cents: if you haven't made up your mind to switch your career then please do not change your career. Qlikview though may be a great product but the journey to be a developer is pretty tough. Especially freshers are not very welcome here. Average experience that employers are looking is about 3 years. There are a few companies who may be interested in hiring freshers but they will not pay you well and start sucking your blood.
I did a lot of research and learned this the hard way. I got carried away by statements like "shortage of resources" but frankly speaking do not see many jobs on the job portals.
I don't intend to confuse you but if you have the zeal to learn and struggle then give it a try. Wish you all the best!!!
Also please do a favor, please post your decision on this board so others can follow.
Hi,
I am accept..Rahul valuable points..
Hi,
I am not very active in the community though working for some time with QlikView. My opinion is QlikView is looking very easy, It's really easier than other technical language learning, but one needs to invest much time for a good start, better if you are from programming area and you must understand database well as well as scripting, good database/ query knowledge and report design technique can give you a smooth way to go ahead.
