Hi Experts,
I have a pie chart with a cyclic group as dimension. I click on a pie slice and then right click on chart, but clear all selections option is gr eyed out.
Is 'clear all selections' not available for pie chart with cyclic group?
Please note that i want to Clear all selections only by right clicking on this chart.
Thanks,
Bharath
I have attempted to duplicate your issue on 2 different pie chart objects that I ahve (one has 1 dimesnion, one has 2 dimensions) and after I click on a slice, I can then right click and select 'clear all'
can you post your qvw or one that has the issue?
Hi Adam,
Thanks for checking.
Please create another chart with cyclic group as dimension and test it.
Thanks,
Bharath

Just tried it and cannot duplicate your issue - had a pie chart with a cycle group, click a slice and right click - 'clear all selections' is available??
can you post the app with the issue?
Thanks again.
My cyclic group is created by Macro. I think 'clear all selections' is gr eyed out for those cyclic groups.
I did not create a cycle group via a macro
what is the reason for creating it that way?
what about writing expressions in the cycle group instead of a macro?
Its because, we want the cyclic groups to be created dynamically with different fields, based on the user.
This dashboard is designed long back, so they followed macro approach.
is the issue of not being able to clear all something that jsut started or has it been an issue in the past?
we just noticed the issue. The clear all selections works from other areas(tool bar), but not when we right click the pie chart with cyclic group created using macro.
Clear all selections in the chart context menu will clear selections in all dimensions present in the chart, when you cycle a group the dimension in which you did your selection is no longer part of the chart that is drawn, and thus the command no longer works. If you cycle until you get back to the original dimension the command should work again.
