Custom Maps and Data Mapping

Hi Experts,

I just started learning to use maps in QlikView dashboards.

However, I am wondering resources to learn more on using Custom maps and the ways to map the data to the maps.

For example:

If I have a data something like below-

State     Region          Projects     %ProfitOverRevenue

NSW     Sydney           Proj1          20    

NSW     New Castle     Proj2          14   

Vic        Melb                   P3          6

SA          Adelaide          P4          8

How to use the custom maps and how/where to map the data to this custom maps.

I appreciate if anyone could help me understand the approach and design maps in QlikView dashboards.

HI,

You can Generate maps by using latitude and longitude in a scatter chart for the specified state or region

or else

you can use Extension objects for the same

Steps for beginners to implement Google Maps in Qlikview

Hi,

Create a Excel sheet mapregion: like

State     Region             Latitude     Longitude

NSW     Sydney          1314                  242

NSW     New Castle    

Vic        Melb                 

SA          Adelaide        

for finding lat and long use latlong.com

calculate latlong for all region and load the data.
