Display multiple dimensions on the x-axis in bar char?

Hello,

I have two fields from the master calendar:

  • Month field
  • Quarter field

Is it possible to use them together in the x-axis, in a way that I get the following order:

Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, Dev, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 etc?

Create a Month-Qtr field in your script  and use that new field as your dimension.

Hi Nazeem,

you can use two dimensions, but not "side by side" like you want it - for that, you would have to build 2 separate charts or use a cyclic_group (but then they would only be shown alternatively).

Hi

You can concatenate the data so that your monthname and quarter would be in the same column

then you can use that new field as your dimension

TimePeriod Value

Jan          10

Feb          21

Mar          34

Q1          65

Apr          23

May          12

June          15

Q2          50

Hope this makes sense

Thanks

Padma

Hi Nazeem,

If you want to display in the same order as specified, just calculate quarters' value and add it with months and use the new column.

You can do so in Excel as well.

Here is my final result screenshot.
