Document not showing up in access point

Hi All,

I have publisehd a document on QV server. I do not have publisher license. I have only QV server. I entered document information, allocated CALs etc and clicked on apply. I have checked document security and my user is also listed there. I have user CAL assigned too. However, When I check the access point, the report does not showup there. Can someone help me to resolve this issue

hi Arif,

There are tow types of Authorization DMS and NTFS. If it is DMS you have to assign the user in

Userdocument -->  Click on the application --> on right you will see Authorization tab. Add the user name in it.

If it is and NTFS-->  you have to right click on the application and add the windows user name in the security.

See the attachement to know if the authorization  is NTFS or DMS.

Thanks Deepak for the quick reply. It is using NTFS and the user is the owner of document and is already listed in secruity of the document. The user also has named CAL, but still I am not able to see the document in access point

hi Arif,

Assigning name cal or document cal has nothing to do with this. Just make sure the windows NT Name inside security tab and the user accessing through through windows is same.

Restart the server or services. Sometimes it takes time for the settings to get enabled. in this case restart might solve the issue,

Hi Deepak,

Its the same user that is doing everything. I have logged in with my own user to the system, created the document with same user, published the document with same user and for testing purpose, opened the browser and tried to see report in access point. I have checked the document and it has full rights for my user too. I wonder if i am making any mistake in publishing the document. I clicked on the document under document tab, entered some information in document information tab (For example, category, and description) and clicked on apply. I assume this should do the publishing?

Oops .. It seems you have not mounted the folder. You need to mount the folder in order to see it over web. Adding category is just the info for the document.

If you are using QV 11 the go to

System-->Qlikview Server- Select Server -->Folders and the folder path here.

If you are using QV 10 inmanagement console

Go to Qlikview Server Setting and add the folder path.

Hi Deepak,

Thanks a lot of all the help that you are providing. This document is under the root folder. All the reports in root folder are already visible. I just created a new folder under the root folder, and published the report from there. Even still I mounted this folder and republished the report. Still no results

one point worth mentioning here is that other reports in the same folder are showing up. Only the report that I am publishing today is somehow not publishing

Hi Arif,

Try putting the new file in the old folder where all other application are been seen. If it is appearing over then check the new folder properties the security tab.

Try to find the different between the old folder security and the new folder security options. You might be able to find some difference.

Hi Deepak,

I just found one thing, that I have implemented the section access and my user was not listed amonst the users. I have inserted my active directory user in the users table, reloaded the data through document reload property. The task is finished, but I am not sure if it has reloaded successfully. Does it maintain any log where I can see if the reloaded was successful or not.
