Hi Folks, I am trying to enable the horizontal Scroll Bar on straight table because I have 15 dimensions and 1 expression and we deploy the applications on iPad. So users are requested for horizontal Scroll Bar on the object.
I check all the options on the Straight table object and I didn't see any forceful option to enable the scroll bar after certain limit of the dimensions.
How do I turn the scroll bar ?
Please Help me on this.......
Thanks in Advance .....
Hi Janneke,
Yes , I did tried adding empty expression to the chart.
Drag this expression to first postion.
Set the width to minimum, but still scroll bar is not appearing.
Thanks,
AB
I was needing a similar solution, found this post, and can tell you what I did to get a horizontal scroll bar on a straight table to span all of the dimension and expression fields. Creating a dummy dimension did not work. But if you create the dummy expression that works.
Scenario I had was a straight table, 11 dimension fields consecutively on the left, and all my expressions after that. (NOTE: I noticed that when I had 10 or fewer dimension fields consecutively on the left, I had a horizontal scroll bar that spanned my whole table by default. I haven't been able to find anything in the Community if this is a feature or flaw.)
(1) Create the dummy expression > leave the Enable checkbox checked (so you can watch the behavior in later steps) > OK.
(2) Drag the dummy expression in between the last 2 dimension fields. The horizontal scroll bar now spans the whole table.
(3) Go back into the table Properties > uncheck the Enable checkbox. The horizontal scroll bar should continue to span the whole table, and the dummy expression disappear.
