Errors in QlikView server

Hello,

Sometimes I have error message in my QlikView server.

Today I received this error:

QlikView 8.50 encountered a problem and needed to close.

And this is the details:

szAppName : Qv.exe szAppVer : 8.50.6231.5 szModName : Qv.exe

szModVer : 8.50.6231.5 offset : 0000000000f8ae4e

And this is the technical information:

The fowling files will be included in this error reports:

C😕DOCUME~1\qvadmin\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER44c1.dir00\Qv.exe.mdmp

C😕DOCUME~1\qvadmin\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER44c1.dir00\appcompat.txt

I want to understand what happened and how I can avoid from this error next time.

Hi,

it also helps to turn logfiles on for each application (Settings -> Document Properties -> Generate Logfile). Logfiles then might be read by another application and inspected for errors etc.

Yes, correct, that's exactly what I meant with "you should enable the 'Generate Logfile' option in the Document Properties ..."

By the way, there IS a tool (QlikView Server Performance.qvw) with which you can analyze the server logfiles - but it's obviously no Server issue here.
