Expressions in chart changes???

Hi All,

I am working on a chart where I have some Dimensions and Expressions. I am using Set Analysis for expressions to filter the data in the chart, however it works fine and gets the expected results when I disable the expressions(other than the one having set analysis).. Am i doing something wrong?? I tried applying the SA for other expressions as well but its of no use... To simplify, when I Enable the expressions the Set Analysis isnt working, But when i disable them it works... However I need these expressions also in the chart...

Maybe I can use these expressions(sum and average functions mostly) as Dimensions, but not sure how to apply the calculations there.. New to QlikView. Any help would be appreciated.

Using version 9, SR5, 64 Bit.

Sorry I cannot send out anything due to confidentiality issues... But I will explain again..

I have a Table chart where I want 10columns. Some columns in this are Dimensions and some Expressions. I have used SET Analysis for filtering the data. But my problem is, the set analysis statement which I have should be applied together with other expressions...? Coz when i disable other expressions except the one with Set Analysis, I get the desired result, however I need these expressions also as part of the chart to display. In my case I have rent and area, so i need to display both columns in the chart and another expression RentperArea(for which I applied a normal average function).

Now when i disable this expression my set analysis filter works, but when i enable the RentperArea expression, set analysis doesnt work.

Will explain you again if not understood. I am still a new user.

Mady, can you give out a dummy layout of your chart.

I mean changing the field names and giving out the list of dimensions and expressions.

So that, we can get to know what you are trying about.

Just post the expression that is working and the the expressions that are not working with some explanation of the result you are tryng to achieve. Then someone may be able to help you.
