How can I get correct percentage

Hi,

I have a straight table and Bar chart. when I am clicking particular month it is showing values 100% in both Straight table and Bar chart. when I am selecting two months it is showing correct percentages. But only for single month it is showing 100% where the values is 34%. How can I get the correct percentage eventhough if I click one month. Please find attched.

Hello Amelia,

A few suggestions:

1. as your Reference field may contain data of type Text as well as type Number, I would suggest using Count() rather than Sum()
2. By checking the Relative check box, you are forcing QlikView to represent the data in a relative manner compared to the rest. It might throw off your users by thinking the Failure rate is 12% for a given month while it is in fact 24%. The 12% represents the relative amount of failure rate compared to the rest of the months.
3. If you need the result to be presented in a percentage, you may change the way QlikView displays the result under the Number tab

Try this version.  I basically unselected the Relative option on the Expression tab and formatted the expression to display with one decimal place as a percent.
