How do I change the format of a row in a table once it meets a certain criteria?

What is the correct defenition to use if i want a certin row which meets a criteria eg:

if(Space <> 's', Sum ({<GlYear = {$(=Max(GlYear)-1)}>} BeginYearBalance)/1000,Sum ({<GlYear = {$(=Max(GlYear)-1)}>} BeginYearBalance )/1000)

I want the result of the formula to show as bold if space=s and also the background to be grey.

You need to use the auxiliar expressions (not sure what the term is please see the image).

In the background color expression try something like if(Space = 'S',lightblue(), white())

In the text format expression try if(Space = 'S','<B>')
