How many types of states(Main state, Alternate State..... etc) are there ? What are they ? What is not doable without states ? Is this linked with Set Analysis ? Can someone explain elaborately ?

Hi Anil,

Alternate States is the name of the QlikView functionality that makes possible to do Comparative Analysis.

Here you can find more information about Comparative Analysis:

Why Comparative Analysis - Technical Brief.pdf

Alternates States can be used together with Set Analysis but they are different things.

Here you can read more about Set Analysis:

Set Analysis: syntaxes, examples

I hope it helps.

Hello Anil,

Here is a way perhaps you could explain/visualize alternate state in a QlikView application.

(However please don't share this with King Joffrey... )
