How to determine where a QVD came from?

I found a QVD file and I need to determine how it is generated/updated. Basically, I want to find out the database the information is coming from.

I'm not sure where to look.

The creatordoc tag tells you which qvw created the qvd, but not the database the data came from. That information can be found in the Lineage section.

Open the qvd file in a text (or xml) editor and look at content in the Lineage tag.

Open the QVD in a text editor and have a look at the <CreatorDoc> Tag.

or

there is a tool called EasyQlik you can use to see some metadata (fields, rows, source qvw) and also data

from qvd files (just click on qvd)

its_anandrjs

Read your QVD as XML please find the attached for information

There you get info that QVD generator name, location no of rows and many more information
