Thanks Matt for showing interest.

The 1st row in a pivot table is the header which shows either Dimension Header or Expression Header.

I would like to have a Row above these header rows and would like to display some text.

I hope its clear now. Please let me know if more information is required.

I am struggling with the same problem. Have you got any solution?

I tried to do it with a sepate table (temp1)

have a look to the sheet "table with header row"

How do you want this row. Just a simple line or with cell like the pivot table? can u show a snapshot of what you are trying to achieve?
