Hi Experts,
I want to change Y- axis label name in charts. so in which tab i need to change the name for y axis name.
Add a Chart Properties->Presentation->Text in Chart box and position it at the top of the Y-axis.
Hi prabhas277,
You can do this on the expression tab, just add the text in the label field.
Regards
Hi,
You could do this in the chart properties 'Number' tab, like shown in the attached screenshot. In this example, the label name is 'Qty'. If needed, you can add other things, like (pce), which would show 'Qty (pce)'.
Add a Chart Properties->Presentation->Text in Chart box and position it at the top of the Y-axis.
In some charts (like a Scatter chart) you can explicitly enable/disable the Axis labels. To change the label text, go to Chart Properties->Expressions and change the label field.
Hi,
Can you please post sample image what you want? If you want to add Y-axis label name you can follow " Peter Cammaert " reply. If you want some thing else please post sample.
In most charts with a single numerical Axis, you can also change the Y-axis label by tweaking the Chart Properties->Number->Symbol, Thousand Symbol, Million Symbol and Billion Symbol fields. This may offer a very compact (no clutter) alternative.
Keep in mind that most simple charts (one expression) use the chart title or caption to explain what is shown (e.g. "Number of Presidents", "Sales over time", etc.). This is a standard design practice to keep the chart itself clean and free from excess information.
Thanks for response..
