Hello,Boys here:
I am on the project about using GRAPH MAPPING in QLIKVIEW. My customer ( from China)issues a request. It is a GRAPH MAPPING about sales situation across our country. So I want to find a solution in QLIKVIEW like chart below:
Through the DEMO I just found no such solution. Can anyone here help me ?Thanks a lot
Hi
I don't think so for this type of chart is in qlikview. Just try scatter chart but my suggest is take this map in jpeg format and put in button or textbox and find manually longitudinal and latitute. And use inline for lon and latitude values.
I hope this will help for you.

Hi
You can create choro maps thank to a tool geoqlik from the company Business Geografic. It's a product you can buy.
Have a look in their website.

JJ
We made a Brazil map where each state were 3 images of that state, one over the other and one of each color. The state images where put together like a puzzle. Each image, depending on the sales for that estate, is shown or hidden.
THANKS
thanks very much

THANKS JJ. But another question is how can I download a trial version of geoqlik? I didn't find any download URL.
Hi Hu
You can contact dpalvadeau@ciril.net (mr Damien Palvadeau) from Business Geografic for a demo or maybe a trial.
Look also at some example : http://community.qlik.com/forums/p/24026/91827.aspx#91827
To use geoqlik, you need to have your maps in shapefile or mapinfo file, then to convert in an new object usable directly in QV as any charts.
I never use GeoQlik, but Mr Palvadeau made a demo with my datas, and it looks fine.

Here's one approach - transparent scatter chart on top of a picture of the country.
Seen more other map tries with QlikView, some with a lot of effort added into it.
I think however that we would need specific map functions built into QlikView to end up in fully working apps. This should include zoom and pan and geoforms as objects - or how would you change the colors of the regions based on calculated values?
Some apps (like the Qlympics Medal scores) use an imbedded browser object and show a Google Map with features requested through the "dynamic image" field, I haven't found however a way to build such an app myself and did not see one posted for analysis.
The google approach also has its downsides because you need internet access, a key and you have not control of the other side.
