Performance degradation after upgrading from QV11 to QV12

Hello.

We had Qlikview server 11 and we have upgraded to release 12.8 on a different server.

A reload of a document that extracts 8 Million records  from database, in release 11 took 3 minutes.

After upgrading to 12 release, the same reload takes 20 minutes.

Memory and CPU are the same on both servers .

what can be the problem?

is there a special setting that I need to set?

By loading data from a data-base is usually the data-base and/or the driver and/or the network the bottleneck and not the Qlik side. Comparing the document-log from the old and new release should give appropriate hints.

Hi @QueenS,

In addition to @marcus_sommer excellent post, QV v11 and QV v12.8 are distinctly different products. Suggest that you review the Release Notes of all versions and service releases in between the build versions from your previous version to 12.8 to understand changes and updated functionality.
