Hi all,
I have a client app where I have a pivot table that has Customer, Quarter, Month, and Year as the dimensions in a pivot table with a simple sum(Sales) type of expression.
Customer and Year dimensions are on the left, Quarter and Month have been pivoted to the top.
What they want is to be able to show an *average* of monthly sales as well as the total sales. Is there a way to do this? I can easily write an expression but I'm not sure how to get it to not show in the chart and only show as a total on the far right.
Thanks!
sum({<month=}>}sales)/total(sales)
to get total check the button show partial some> it will be there in presentation tab for pivot table
Hi Kent,
It's not clear from your description which level of aggregation you need: Month and Customer or Month only.
Do you need two columns Total Sales and Average..
Could you show the simple example in Excel? It will clarify all the questions and you will get your result.
Regards,
Sergey
