Dear All,
When my reload fails, an notify email is generated.
But when my application is successfully distributed an email is not generated.
Please anyone suggest how can I achieve this that when my application is successfully distributed. A email is generated for successfully distributed application.
Thankz in advance
Sir thankz for reply, but all these links are not solving my purpose as when i distribute an application through publisher and then reload it, then the distribution is successful it should sent a mail to users that the reload was successful and it has to be done through publisher. I cant make changes in the application.
HI,
You need to trigger an alert on reload Successful.

ASHFAQ
Sir,
Can you me the steps.
H Rapti,
try this:
- open QEMC (Management Application)
- go to "Documents"
- "Source Documents"
Then select the task you want to set the notification for.
There, go to
- "Distribute" - "Notify" and tick the checkbox for the notification
on
- "Distribute" - "Manually" check if there is any distribution by mail activated. note that if you distribute by mail, no separete notification will be sent out.
It is not possible to set different notifications by user. All users on the distribution will get a notification. To distinguish, you could set different tasks.
Hope this helps.
Michael
Thankz for reply sir... bt this is working only when the reload is fail. When reload is successful no such mails appears...
I want to knw how to send mail when reload is successful..
Hi Rapti,
actually the notification is sent in any case then. You can specify the templates under
- System - Distribution services (your server) - e-mail templates
For my system, the mail looks like
QlikView Publisher Summary
Date: | Subject: QlikView Publisher: xxxxxxxxxxxx.qvw has been distributed |
try it out.
Michael
is there any possibility for specific QVW file.
-Paul
unfortunately this is a global setting. So none or all, which can be annoying. I am not aware of any specific template settings. Independent from the template however, you can switch on and off by qvw as described above.
- keep qliking -
