Hi all! I am studying QlikView to decide if it is a good solution as data discovery tool for my company.
Right now, our users use excel files to query the data warehouse and do their calculations.
QlikView could be a good tool because it is possible to filter data and show them into a table. A "big" limitation for our users could be that the cells are not selectable: is it possible to add this feature to straight table in QlikView? This is foundamental to give to our users an experience similar to excel.
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
I have asked my colleague cdi to contact you and she confirmed to me that she did.
She will try to investigate you what the situation is and how we can help you.
Hi!
I dont think that you can do this direct from UI.
You can use a solution here:
how to update a field after load
(Anyway Qlikview and Excel is very different 🙂 )
Thanks for the reply. I don't want to update the values, in my case it could be very useful to select more values from a table (or entire row/column) and copy them outside QlikView skipping the export in Excel of whole table
Hi Marco! Maybe this can help. Use inputfield in script and imputsum in table.
I attach an example.
Let me know!
