Hi Team,
We want to access our QlikView AccessPoint outside network.
We have installed Qlikview Web services in a separate server(localhost) with Public IP and configured DMZ for the same localhost server.
We have created Custom directory and added custom users.
Added the Accesspoint weblink under Trusted sites in IE settings.
In test server, we tried to access with https://localhost/qlikview/
Unable to access the Accesspoint within the same network.
For above mentioned everything, page shows blank.
However, when we check in test server for SERVICES to stop and start, options all are in disable.
See the attachments.
MamuKishore,
Most likely your inability to modify the running state of Qlikview services is via GPO, if you're not logged in as the Qlikview service account I would start by doing that and see if you are then able to change the running state of Qlikview services. If not, this is likely a GPO set by your organization.
The public-facing IP shouldn't have anything to do with the testing to access your Accesspoint, using https://localhost/qlikview/ would eliminate any network issues keeping you from accessing the Accespoint as you would be accessing it directly from the server. I would check your webserver configuration again as that should work, whether or not the IP you've assigned to the webserver is public-facing or not.
Thanks,
Josh
Qlik Support
Hi Josh,
Thanks for reply.
Actually the URL which is mentioned is in test server to access QlikView Accesspoint.
However, we have added the IP address and hostname of test server in the DMZ server in HOSTS file under Drivers.
After this, we can able to login successfully with http://<testservername>/Qlikview, but QlikView applications are not loading. Screen shows LOADING CONTENT and then blank screen(see the attachment).
A couple of things here to mention, one being license restrictions, if you have an Enterprise Server license, you need to check with our account team to be sure you are allowed to have the external access using the custom directory, as this may be a violation of your license agreement if not. Depending upon the use case, you may need to purchase a different license for this use case.
That being said, the no documents in the AccessPoint would signify the custom directory users do not have rights to the apps, and what I suspect is the QlikVIew Server QMC Security tab settings are set to use NTFS, which is not going to work with the Customer Directory, that requires using DMS mode. That is about the best hunch I have based upon the information provided, hope it helps.
Regards,
Brett
Thanks .
