Hi,
I have a QlikView document that one person is unable to view via her web browser. I can view the document just fine. All of our documents are served from a QlikView server. She can view other QlikView documents ok. Whether she uses IE or Chrome, this document begins to display but the data is not completely drawn. A "spinney" is shown but the "spinney" never stops spinning. How can I troubleshoot this?
What's the size of your app and have you provided access to her for that doc?
It would be something to do with section access or distribution task with user restriction
Does the application have section access or distribute with user restriction?
This application is 9.5 GB. She used to be able to access this document. The document partially displays. Some of the charts render but then is appears to get stuck.
I don't know what section access is. The server is set up with user CALs, session CALs, document CALs, and usage CALs. She would be using either a session or usage CAL.
Did you try to login with another user in the same computer? Or try to login with the user in a computer where the app is working.
A time ago, I had a similar trouble, and it was a NTFS file system permission trouble. Check that.
Also check if the qvw file has section access.
Hi,
I had her log into a different computer and try to access that document. She is experiencing the same problem there. The document partially loads and then gets stuck.
Then I had someone else with similar permissions log into the person's computer who is having this QlikView problem. This other person can view the same document successfully on her computer.
The problem appears to be tied to the user no matter what browser or computer she uses. She used to be able to access this document and she can still access other QlikView documents coming from the same server. Is there some sort of QMC cache for each user that I could clear or reset?
No, we are not using section access.
Did you try using the "Remove Last Document State" from qv server?
We just tried that and there is no change. The document still only partially displays.
