QlikView frozen when uploading excel files

Hi All,

I'm using QlikView in a daily basis. For some reason since yesterday, when trying to connect an excel file in order to explore the data, the QlikView gets frozen... Actually, when I click teh "Table File..." button under the Script section, then the QlikView gets frozen with no way to do anything else, so the only option is to go to Windows Task Manager and close QlikView application from there...

Please help.

Can you for start  just reinstall / upgrade to the latest version QlikView?

I already installed version 12.1 and is not working... However, It was working last week with version 12.1....

I am not sure the environment that you are running QV v12 but I have experienced similar bugs with v12 and these bugs never appear in v11.  As a quick test role back to v 11 and check if you have the same issue.  I used to have edit script crashes on v12 on Windows server Env. but working on Win7 64 bit.

Sorry cannot help .. I am sure its to do with the PC environment .. try on different machine I am sure its PC problem

Hi Dani,

if you are saying Desktop edition,

1)How you are working on with or without license?

Some times free editions will gave these type of errors.

2)if possible try to uninstall the software and install one more time(If possible use 11 version)

I'm using a license already and tried with version 11 already and no way...
