Hello,

To your first question, you can copy and paste from one sheet to another, you can even drag from one sheet to another, and you also can copy objects and pasted them in a different QlikView document.

To your second question, can you please elaborate? Do you mean captions?

Hope that helps.

yes, it is possible to copy and paste components between QlikView Documents but still i need to desing one layout containg multiple components which i can reuse in multiple applications(just like master pages in DOTNET).

yes my second question is regarding the caption of components.

can i have a file which will contains all the caption and while assigning caption to componets i should get the available captions from the text file from which i will chosse the required one.

Hi Abhijit

I have a solution for your 1st question.Solution as follows:

you just select the sheet which you want to use it in the multiple applications. In the file menu u have a option of Export.Under tht you find sub options as Export Sheet Layout.By clicking on it you get a option to save the file as .XML.Later you can use the sheet layout in any other application just by selecting the Import option frm the File menu.

Thank u roopesh, this is exactly what i'm looking for.

regarding my 2nd question:

to use text file containing caption of all components is to make my application language transperent.

so if tomarrow my client has to view report in another language, i only need to change at one place and changes should reflect throughtout the application.

In order to achieve this , i have created a text file containing caption of components as variable and assign these variables as a caption of component. but this approach required number of variables equal to number of components , this is somewhat lengthy task and require more work.

I want to know that is there any utility in QlikView (such as Resource File in DOTNET) by using which i can make my application language neutral.
