If you're just removing "G", I would use purgechar for simplicity.

Syntax:

PurgeChar(<fieldname>, '[chars to remove]')

Your example: purgechar(G9522103,'G')

=Right(Data, Len(Data)-1)

Or,

=Mid(Data,2)

Have you tried KeepChar(), if you have to remove 'G'

keepchar ( 'C3g43','0123456789' ) returns '343'

G9522103,

Purgechar removes all occurrences, not just prefix

=purgechar('G9522103G','G')

Mid(Name,If(Name Like 'G*',2,1))

Or

If(Field Like 'G*',Mid(Field,2),Field)
