Scroll bars don't work with browser access

Dear all,

Since some time now, a few of our client are facing the problem that within our Qlikview applications they are accessing via browser, scrolling within listboxes and tables does not work at all. Internally we have not been able to reproduce the problem, but I can confirm it exists from having experienced it at a clients workstation.

We have not been able to narrow down the problem to a specific browser or application. The applications are created with Qlikview Desktop App 12.

Has anybody had the same problem and can offer a solution?

Thanks very much,

Benedikt

Hello Doris,

Thanks for your contribution. I can only say what solved our scrolling problem: We upgraded the server version of qlikview (which hadn't been done for a while).

Maybe that could solve your problem as well.

Best,

Benedikt

If you are using the plugin, make sure that the plugin is the same version as the server. The desktop used to create the documents should also be the same version.

If you are using Ajax, check that your browser is supported for the QV server version.

Dear all,

thanks for your swift responses and solutions.

One of the clients currently facing the issue is using Firefox version 57.0 on a windows PC.

We found a workaround for IE: By opening the Developer tools (F12) and changing the User agent string to Internet Explorer 10. However this is quite unsatisfying as the operation has to be repeated at each login and the console has to stay open while browsing.

Thanks,

Benedikt

We have a similar issue with a user that has a surface pro (touch screen computer) that is having scrolling issues.  Has anyone found a work around for that issue and scrolling?  He logs in with a PC and everything works fine so we know the issue is that he has the touch screen computer causing the issue.

Thanks,

Doris

Thank you Benedikt.  We do need to upgrade so we'll need to try that.

Best, Doris

Were you able to find a solution to this issue? I have a coworker with a touch screen computer and he is not able to scroll or expand any of the objects within Qlik Sense.
