We're using QV11 now, and all of our documents utilize Section Access. Does QV11.2 still support its use, or is not available if you are using the new "Direct Discovery" feature? The release notes aren't clear on this point, and we need to decide on a potential upgrade path.
For data loaded the standard way, Section Access is supported.
But if you use Direct Discovery, Section Access will not affect the calculation made on the RDBMS, or in other words: the Direct Discovery is not affected by the Section Access restriction.
