Set default layout/shadow style

I recently upgraded to QlikView 11.  One small thing I've noticed is that when I create a new object - list, chart, anything - it has no shadow.  Previously they had "Shadow Intensity" = "Soft".  Is there any way I can set this default, so my new reports match the old without taking extra steps?

I've seen on the Layout tab that I can use "Apply To..." to set a default for a specific document, but not globally.  Under User Preferences, some people have talked about setting Design | Default Styling Mode to "Advanced", but that doesn't seem to have had any impact.

Thank you,

Jonathan Shaltz

You can create a theme that includes the shadow setting and then select this theme as default theme on the Design tab of the User Preferences window.

That's actually user settings, and I've tried it.  See the second paragraph of my post.

By opening an object's properties and clicking Layout | Theme Maker...?  It's now set as the default theme, but there's no impact.  New objects still lack a border, and no other settings from my template object are being copied.
