Hi,
after using dollar sign in number tab and fixing decimals as well as fixing axis i am getting dollar sign as well as point values
on both mouse over values as well as on y axis
As per requirement i need to show dollar sign after each step on y axis and should not have any decimals
but on mouse over value should be up to 2 decimals and should not have dollar
sign.
I have also attached sample file for the same
Can you please suggest shall i go ahead
For colors you can specify the colors in the background color option for all your expressions:
I used the same colors in the definition here from the Colors tab you send intially to get this:
Now to make the formatting you wanted work, these are the things I did:
1) Converted your chart to Combo chart
2) Added another expression as your first expression and changed it's Type from Bar to Symbol and make it invisible
3) Need to change the formatting of your newly created expression to the one you want your axis:
4) Change the formatting of your other expressions to match what you want them to see when you hover over them:
and I think it will give you what you wanted.
I hope it was easy to follow and let me know if you still have questions.
Best,
Sunny
I think if you need customized pop up text, you can do it by disabling 'Pop-up Labels' in Presentation and create new expression with Bar check box deactivated and 'Text as Pop-up' activated in expression tab. That way Y-Axis text and pop-up text can be managed and customized independently.
See if the attached is what you are looking for.
Best,
Sunny

Hi Sunny,
Thanks but is it possible to get same result in bar chart instead of combo chart.
Thanks
Hey Deepak,
May I ask, what is a potential issue with using Combo Chart? You still see a Bar chart and nothing else? Is there a business logic behind using bar chart and not combo?
Best,
Sunny
Actually, here you go: Now it is a bar chart
On the expression tab, select invisible and un check the bar option and it seems to give you the same output as before.
Does this work?
Best,
Sunny
Hi Sunny,
It seems, it is not working in line chart.
I line chart I am getting double pop up labels.
Can you please suggest what we need to do on this.
Thanks
Do you want a line chart or a bar chart? I thought you strictly wanted to use a bar chart?
