hello
this is a weird question but how do I sort on a pivot table for a specific dimension
in the example below...
there a dimensions that must be listed 1st/2nd/3rd but I need to sort by the 4th column.. (3fabusage)
I cant move the sort up and down like I could with the other types..
so how do I sort by the 4th columns value but leave it on the 4th column?
thanks
There are some limitations while sorting when it comes to a pivot table. One way of doing this perhaps will be by selection the check box Expression (in the Sort tab) and then in the field, create one expression for your dimension: 3fabusage . Such that it sorts based on the values in 3fabusage
hi
I tried this it doesn't seem to work
I did it for the fabric delivery and its not grouping by the delivery and sorting by that
thanks
So I gather that your first four dimensions are all 1:1? How about adding a sort expression of 3fabusage to the first dimension?
Take a look here: Perfectly Sorting Pivot Table (by A-Z. y-Value set for each dim-level).
