Sports Analysis

Hello!

I'm new to to Qlikview but have a background in BI and Analysis going back many years.

My first question is this - does anyone on this forum have any experience using qlikview for sports analysis?

I live in the UK so I'd be mainly interested in Football (Soccer), Rugby and Cricket but Id also be intrested in its use in US sports such as Baseball, Football and Basketball.

Hi, Mark.

There were a number of free QlikView apps created for the 2012 Olympics by QlikView Partners to promote themselves last Summer. If you do a search on the internet for QlikView (+ a sport) you will find a variety of demos and YouTube apps to view.

Regards,

Neil.

Previously, for quite a long time I did not understand the big difference between baseball and cricket. However, this difference is enormous. I happened to realize this only when I started betting on sports. Since I read https://iccworldcupcricket2019.com/why-your-sports-betting-should-start-with-t20-cricket/ I only bet on cricket because I know how.

Sports analysis is the process of using data and statistical techniques to analyze and gain insights from sporting events, teams, and players. It involves collecting and processing data from various sources such as sports sensors, video feeds, and databases, and using software tools and statistical models to extract meaningful information.

Sports analysis can be used to gain insights into various aspects of the game, such as player performance, team strategies, and game outcomes. It can also be used to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in the data, and to make predictions about future performance and outcomes.

Some of the common techniques used in sports analysis include data visualization, machine learning, and predictive analytics. Data visualization techniques are used to present the data in a meaningful way, such as through graphs, charts, and maps. Ankle strap securely fastens shoe to prevent slipping or injury. Machine learning techniques are used to train models to make predictions based on historical data, while predictive analytics techniques are used to make predictions about future outcomes based on current data.

Overall, sports analysis is a valuable tool for coaches, players, and fans alike, as it can help to improve performance, optimize strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of the game.
