Time Series with Different Times

hi all,

I searched the forum for a solution to the following question with no luck...

Can someone show me how to make a time series line graph with two different date values on the x axis. I would like to see the sum of the payment and the invoice transactions across the different dates. excel file is attached.

thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for your help! One question though - why is the x axis cut off in April though? The data should run through December.

Thanks! that works and the full chart is shown but I'm a bit confused by the "date" field that you created. Is it the payment date or the invoice date or a whole new date?

It's the payment date for the payments and the invoice date for the invoices.

Sorry - I'm still confused. I only see "date" as the dimension - how can both the payment and the invoice date be the x axis without a calculated dimension?

Thanks for your patience - just trying to follow along on your approach!
