Use some variables in other variable

Hi

Need help

i want to use some variables in other variable

I've created two variables 'a and b' in variable overview

a = Sum(functionA)

b = Sum(functionB)

and when i create 'c'

c = $(a) + $(b)

the result  is NULL

did i make a mistake?

seems you are ok

are 'a' or 'b' date dependent?

were 'a' and 'a' created in variables? and 'c' is defined in a graph?
