Hi all,
I have found below attached vbs in best practices and found that it will increase performance using external task in publisher.
but i want to know how to apply the same where to write this code and where we can call this. and also what are the disadvantages of using this
As far as I can tell that script does absolutely nothing except waste cpu cycles.
No, script will not increase performance, it can however reduce it.
Hi Sunil,
Have you tried to run this for pre-caching & any success for this?

Mayank
Use JMeter and the Scalability Center tools for cache warming. They do work.
Agreed. that was going to be my suggestion
Hi Miguel thanks for the reply .
Thanks for the reply.but one concern is need to install Jmeter for this.
To double check well the above Vbscript won't work as this will be easy to do?
If not do you have link/document for steps to use jmeter and scalability tools for cache warming? Please share.
Regards,
Mayank
I don't think there are documents for cache warming specifically, but since it is what the Scalability Tools do by definition, that is, generating load and therefore, caching results, it's a nice side effect.
Yes, you have to install Jmeter in order to use the Scalability Tools for QlikView. And you need Java to be able to run Jmeter.
All the documentation and more in the Qlik Scalability group.
not cache warming specifically but documentation on using scalability tool
